— We might see a resurgence of Manny Being Manny in the near future.

Manny Ramirez’s wife, Juliana, suggested Ramirez is gearing up to play professional baseball again. She told TMZ the 44-year-old former Red Sox star is spending time in the gym in preparation for a comeback.

“He is training extremely hard,” Juliana said. “Batting, CrossFit, Orange Theory. He never stops.”

She also said she supports his attempts at another baseball career.

“I told him, ‘Go for it!’ Baseball is the love of his life other than his family and I totally support him 100 percent … ’cause I know how much it means for him.”

The last time Ramirez played professional baseball was for the Cubs’ Triple-A affiliate in 2014. He then worked as a hitting consultant for the major league team and its minor league clubs.

He spent eight memorable seasons with the Red Sox from 2001-08.

— Steph Curry said on Wednesday he agrees with Yankees GM Brian Cashman’s statement that the Red Sox are the Warriors of the MLB after their blockbuster trade with the White Sox for Chris Sale.

“I like that comparison because the Red Sox are my favorite team,” Curry said. “They obviously made some splashes during the offseason, and when you play an exciting brand of baseball and you’re about winning — because that’s what we’re about — I like the comparison.”

Curry explained he owes his Red Sox fandom to his brother.

“I was a free agent growing up in Charlotte,” Curry said. “My brother [Seth, who plays guard for the Mavericks] picked the Yankees, so I picked the Red Sox. We got a little inner-city rivalry, which is good.”

Cashman made the flattering comparison between the Red Sox and the Warriors during this month’s winter meetings.

“Boston is the Golden State Warriors of baseball now,” Cashman said. “They’ve got their Durant and Green and Thompson and Curry.”

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “We were aware of the situation before we claimed him. He’s in an ongoing legal situation and I am not going to comment on that.” Bill Belichick, on the release of the video showing Michael Floyd’s DUI arrest

HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Noe Ramirez (27)
